Details
Astra is a compact cousin of the large glass-globe chandeliers, scaled for rooms with ordinary ceiling heights. Slender arms carry clear glass globes at staggered positions, giving the fitting depth and movement without the vertical drop that a full stairwell chandelier demands. It is the version that actually works over a standard dining table or kitchen island.
Head counts run from two to five, which covers a lot of ground. Two heads suit a narrow console or a small breakfast bar; three is the reliable choice over a four-seat table; four and five heads spread light properly across a longer island or a larger dining setting. As with most cluster fittings, matching head count to the length of the surface below is more useful than matching it to the room.
Black and gold finishes are offered. Black keeps the arms graphic and recessive so the glass reads as the feature; gold warms the whole fitting and works particularly well against darker joinery and deeper wall colours. This is a hardwired ceiling fitting, so installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, and drop height should keep the globes above sightlines across the table. Clear glass shows every mark, so plan for occasional access with a soft cloth when deciding how high to hang it.
