Details
The Cueva is a lamp that commits. In neon orange it is unapologetically a colour decision, the kind of object bought to do something to a room rather than to blend into it. Against a dark timber console, a white-painted wall or a neutral dining table, it reads as a deliberate accent, and it works particularly well where the rest of a scheme is restrained.
Being cordless is what allows the colour to be used well. A lamp with a trailing cable has to live near a socket, which usually means the edge of a room; a cordless one can sit in the centre of a table, on a mantel or on a shelf with nothing behind it. Colour placed at the centre of a room behaves very differently from colour pushed to its perimeter.
The lamp charges between uses and lifts freely, so it can move between a dining table at dinner and a hallway console afterwards. Use the supplied charging connection rather than a substitute adaptor, keep it away from table edges where it may be knocked, and expect the saturated finish to show fingerprints more readily than a matt neutral would, so an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth keeps it looking sharp.
