Details
Halo builds a chandelier from illuminated rings suspended at different heights. Lit, the rings read as clean circles of light floating in space, with no visible lamps and no glare, which is the quality that lets a very large fitting stay elegant rather than becoming heavy. It is the most sculptural piece in the Scandinavian range and the one that most often defines a room on its own.
The range is unusually broad. A single ring works as a restrained pendant over a round dining table or a bath; three and five rings suit a generous dining room or double-height hallway; and the seven, ten and fifteen ring configurations are built for atriums, galleried stairwells and the kind of volume that ordinary chandeliers cannot address. Choose by ceiling height and vertical drop, not floor space.
Because output rises steeply with ring count, pairing the larger configurations with a compatible dimmer is worth planning from the outset. These are substantial hardwired fittings and the larger versions carry significant weight, so installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician, the ceiling fixing verified as adequate, and access for cleaning considered before the piece goes up. Ring fittings collect dust on their upper surfaces, which is invisible from below but dulls output over time, so factor cleaning access into the drop height.
