Key is a contemporary pendant designed to be specified rather than merely bought. The form is clean and unfussy, the sort of shape that does not date within a season, and it comes in the three finishes that cover nearly every interior scheme: white for pale, recessive ceilings, black for graphic contrast, and gold where a room wants warmth and a little weight.

It works alone over a table or a reading chair, but its real strength is in repetition. Two or three identical pendants spaced evenly along a kitchen island or a long dining table give a room rhythm and structure, and because the form is restrained, a run of them never looks busy. That restraint is what makes it a safe choice in a room that already has strong elements.

Warm white, cold white and dimmable versions are all available. The dimmable option is the one to choose over a dining table, where the same light has to serve both a working breakfast and a long dinner. This is a hardwired ceiling fitting, so it should be installed by a qualified electrician, and any dimmable version needs to be paired with a compatible LED dimmer to perform properly.
