Marmaron Cordless Table Lamp, Larger

The larger Marmaron is a tall, slim cordless lamp in a natural finish, and the proportions are the point. Height gives a lamp presence on a console or sideboard where a squat fitting would simply disappear behind whatever is placed in front of it, and the narrow column takes up almost no surface area in exchange for that presence.

The natural finish keeps the lamp quiet in a scheme. It sits comfortably with oak, rattan, linen and stone, and it does not fight with the colours around it, which makes it a safe choice in a room that already has a strong wall colour, patterned upholstery or artwork doing the work. Two or three placed along a run of furniture give a coherent line of light.

As with the rest of the cordless range, the absence of a cable is what makes the placement possible: no socket dictates where the lamp stands, and it moves between rooms as easily as a candlestick. Charge between uses with the supplied connection, and site tall lamps away from thoroughfares and table edges where their height makes them easier to catch with a sleeve. A tall lamp also reads best when it has some clear wall behind it, so avoid crowding it against a mirror or a stack of framed pictures.
