Details
The Axis Sconce is the fitting that gives a plain exterior wall an architectural line. Two beams leave the housing, one climbing the wall and one falling to the ground, producing the paired cones of light that have become the signature of contemporary facade design. On a rendered wall the effect is graphic and clean; on brick or stone it rakes across the texture and gives the surface depth.
The body is aluminium rather than plastic, which is the difference between a fitting that survives a decade outdoors and one that chalks and yellows after two summers. Black and white finishes are offered, in warm or cool white output. Warm suits period brick and timber; cool white sharpens rendered and painted facades, and pairs well with anthracite window frames and modern hardware.
An IP65 rating means the housing is dust tight and protected against water jets from any direction, so it handles driving rain and hose cleaning, though not submersion. Spacing matters more than quantity with this fitting: a regular rhythm of sconces along a wall or either side of a door looks deliberate. It is a hardwired mains fitting and should be installed by a qualified electrician to local electrical code.
