Beacon Solar Spotlight, Tree & Garden

A spotlight aimed up into a tree does more for a garden at night than any number of path lights. The Beacon Solar Spotlight is built for that job: an adjustable head on a ground spike that can be angled into a canopy, along a wall, across a specimen shrub or onto a piece of garden sculpture, picking one feature out of the dark rather than lighting everything evenly.

Each unit charges from its own solar panel and switches on at dusk, so the fitting can be sited well away from the house without any cable run. That freedom is the point, because the best uplighting positions are almost always in the middle of a bed or lawn where nobody would ever run mains power. The spike allows the angle to be adjusted through the seasons as planting grows.

Warm white, cool white, green and RGB versions are available in single and twin packs, and using two units on opposite sides of a tree gives far better modelling than one. The housings are waterproof for normal rain exposure but are not rated for submersion. Output depends on daily sunlight, so keep the panel clear of the very foliage you are lighting.
