Moderna Colour Pendant Light

Moderna is a contemporary pendant built around a single idea: that a ceiling light can be the colour decision in a room. Eight finishes are offered, from disciplined black, white and grey through to baby blue, green, pink, red and yellow, which means the same fitting can disappear into a scheme or become the thing everyone notices when they walk in.

The form is deliberately simple, in the Nordic tradition where restraint in shape allows confidence in colour. Hung singly over a bedside or a reading chair, it reads as a quiet accent. Hung in a row of three over a kitchen island or a dining table, in one colour or in a deliberate mix, it becomes the organising feature of the room and does most of the decorative work on its own.

Drop height is what separates a pendant that works from one that irritates. Over a dining table or island, hang the shade low enough to light the surface but high enough to clear sightlines across it. This is a hardwired ceiling fitting, so installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, who can also confirm the ceiling fixing is sound for the load before anything is hung from it.
