Bowie is a minimalist wall sconce in white and brass, and this is an open-box unit. Open box means the item has been unpacked and the carton opened, so it is offered below the price of new stock. The fitting itself is complete and functional; what you are trading is the pristine packaging and the certainty of an untouched box.

The design is deliberately spare. A clean white body with brass detailing gives the fitting presence without ornament, which is what allows it to work in a modern interior alongside plain plaster, pale joinery and simple hardware. White keeps the fitting recessive against a pale wall while the brass provides just enough warmth to stop it reading as clinical.

It suits a bedside, a hallway, a living room wall or a stairwell, wherever wall light is preferred to a lamp on a surface. Open-box stock is by its nature limited to what is on the shelf, so a matching second unit cannot be guaranteed if you want a pair. Inspect the fitting on arrival before installation, and have it hardwired by a qualified electrician to local electrical code. Photograph any marks you find on arrival before fitting, in case the condition needs to be raised.
