Whitaker 3-Light Vanity Light, Matte Black

This is the matte black version of the Whitaker vanity bar, and the finish changes the character of the fitting entirely. Where satin brass warms a bathroom, matte black sharpens it, drawing a crisp horizontal line above the mirror and reading as contemporary rather than classic. It is the natural choice in a room that already has black taps, black framed shower glass or dark joinery.

The three-light configuration remains the practical argument for this fixture. Light spread across the width of a mirror falls evenly on a face, avoiding the shadows under the eyes and chin that a single overhead fitting produces. At twenty-four inches the bar suits a standard single vanity, and a pair works well above a double.

Clear ribbed glass softens the appearance of the lamps and catches light along the flutes, which stops a black fitting from reading as heavy or flat.
